Pathak's Instant Sambar Mix Recipe

Note: One time Use

1) No need to add Tur Dal, Tamarind, Salt or anything else.  Just follow the instructions, and you’re all set!
2) This Sambar Mix is instant—just like Maggi. Anyone can cook it easily!
3) Simply follow the steps, and you'll have delicious sambar ready in no time.
4) If you like it spicy, feel free to add red chilli as per your taste (optional).

 

  1. Heat Oil:
    • In a pressure cooker, add 2 tablespoons of oil and heat it on medium.
  2. Add Vegetables:
    • Add chopped vegetables like onion, tomato, brinjal, drumstick, or any of your favorites.
    • Sauté for 2-3 minutes until they soften slightly.
  3. Add Water:
    • Pour in 1 liter of water into the pressure cooker.
  4. Add Pathak's Sambar Mix:
    • Open a packet of Pathak’s Sambar Mix and empty the Entire Mix (entire Pathak’s Sambar Mix pouch) into the cooker (One time Use).
    • Mix well to ensure the Mix is well combined with the vegetables and water.
  5. Pressure Cook:
    • Close the lid of the pressure cooker and cook for 4 to 5 whistles on medium heat.
  6. Let it Cool Naturally:
    • Once the cooking is complete, let the pressure release naturally before opening the cooker.
  7. Serve & Garnish:
    • Your delicious and aromatic sambar is ready!
    • Serve with idli, dosa, rice, or your choice of sides.
    • Garnish with fresh coriander leaves for added flavor.
